Medium Laminar Flowhood V2 - H13 - 420x330mm - 16.5"x13" - Mycology/Tissue culture

Absolutely love my Flow Hood. Been using a SAB before now and it just takes so long to clean etc and not being able to see what I was doing was making me dread the mycelial jobs that required it. Not any more! Really reasonably priced. The only thing I would mention is the noise of the fan. I am aware that I am quite sensitive to noises like that so it might not be a bother for other folk. But wondering if there's any way to make it a little quieter? Anyway, we're well chuffed with this purchase. As a micro business it's really helped us speed things up. Thank you for making mycology so accessible 😊

Unless something unexpected occurs here, this thing is amazing. I’m extremely impressed. Would like to know what the recommended fan setting is, but hey, the variable speed feature is a bonus I didn’t even know I was getting. I’m blown away. Wish this had been my first entry into laminar flow hoods. It’s incredible.

Its a safe way to work

I did came damage, but that's too expect coming from overseas sometimes. Anyhow ETSY made it right with the full refund and I got the flood for free as far as the seller goes. He was kind courteous and wanted to make everything right if you ever need anything from him, please let him know. MUSH LOVE

Unbelievable A+++ unit for the cost and the customer support is even better. Would highly recommend!!! Unit works great and I’m certain it will do its job as I am getting “0” readings on my particulate/contamination meter!

Totally recommended.

Despite its compact size, the hood is intelligently and optimally designed. I'd recommend buying the version with lighting and protective covers. Installed in a modified light box, to further optimise particle filtration and facilitate disinfection, the hood is perfectly in place. The only fan is a kind of wind-spitting monster (if you put the flo guard on and turn the hood up to maximum, you'll know what I'm talking about). At just about a third of the power, it creates a stable and efficient laminar flow.
Then I had problems with the delivery... which was a nightmare (due to an error at London airport).
There were other problems too.
Donald was there every step of the way. It's rare to find an engineer with a commercial spirit. To potential Europeans or French people (in my case) I would advise you to contact Donald directly to discuss certain details with him and rest assured that you will receive a 5-star +1 service.

Bought the flow hood in December and have been using it everyday since and it hasn't let me down once, still going strong and have had no contamination at all.

This flow hood exceeds my expectations. Best bargain I’ve gotten online. Waiting for shipping as a US customer was worth the wait. Passed flame test 100%. Can’t wait to put it to use.

I thought I might be underwhelmed by the use of a singular fan, but I was very impressed when I witnessed the adjustable power of it. I have used the LFH several times and have had no contamination whatsoever. The LED option is worth it. This is 3d printed and feels sturdy, looks great and works very well. Highly recommend.

I waited the longest time to write this review because I wanted to be accurate in my findings. Unfortunately this isn’t the first flow hood I have purchased from Etsy and to my dismay, the first one was a dud, it was a costly, lengthy and tedious process to go through as I had to rule out many factors before deciding it was indeed the flow hood that was the issue. I ruined all of my clean agar plates and have spent the past 7 weeks getting everything cleaned up and I am beyond pleased to announce that this flow hood has allowed me to do just that. Every agar plate I have poured has been clean, problems only arising from previously dirtied plates as I slowly transferred away from all that contam (it got bad).
I am finally getting perfect plates and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for this amazing product. It’s a godsend. 10/10!

Had alleen 4 van die zwarte plastic strips verwacht twee voor vovenin en twee voor onderkant. Hopelijk kan ik er twee bij bestellen eventueel tegen betaling ziet er net wat mooier uit en je raakt die onderplaat niet kwijd.

Works like it should

I’ve poured 100 agar plates to great success. Zero contamination. I was a little wary at first because so many talk down on mini flow hoods. But my SAB was never this clean and consistent. Also takes up a fraction of the space. Great investment. Medium size is perfect for hobbyist and doing transfers with quart sized jars or pouring agar.

Tested extensively before use with gas fire smoke matches, can clearly see nice laminar flow of air at all points in front of the filter and extending right out to just beyond the front edge of the work area.

No contamination issues so far and gives me much more confidence in the sterility of my practices. 10/10.
